An overview of the topics to be discussed at the upcoming Board meeting.
Tuesday’s Stafford County Board of Supervisors’ meeting includes a list of 21 items on the consent agenda, three unfinished business items, and one item for new business.
Unfinished Business
Last October, the Board denied a conditional use permit to Enon Road Solar Farm, LLC (ERSF). Normally, there is a one-year waiting period before a company can refile. However, ERSF is seeking a waiver so that it can request a new conditional use permit in the coming weeks.
In a letter submitted to the Board on behalf by Pesner, Altmiller, Melner, Demers & Steele PLC, the company has “considered, and is prepared to propose, certain modifications to its initial proposal for the purpose of further mitigating potential impacts on the surrounding properties.”
The plan that the Board rejected in October had been previously approved by both the Planning Commission and staff.
Also in unfinished business is a proposal first brought forward by Tinesha Allen to establish a fund to help the handlers offset the costs of caring for retired Public Service Canines, many of whom have injuries sustained while serving the County.
Finally, the Board will return to the possibility of restructuring its meeting and agenda schedules to “more efficiently, effectively, and transparently transact
public business.”

Additional Matters
There’s a sole item under New Business, and that’s the discussion of a potential Tree Canopy ordinance suggested by Monica Gary.
There will also be a public hearing about proposed adjustments to an agreement with Milestone Tower Limited Partnership concerning a telecommunications tower off Coal Landing Road.
