Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors’ – June 11 Meeting Details

An overview of the topics to be discussed at the upcoming Board meeting.

Tuesday’s Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors’ meeting includes a list of 22 items on the consent agenda, three presentations, and two public hearings.

Presentations

  • Supervisor Lori Hayes requests a board discussion of the Fredericksburg Area
    Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) RTA

  • Spotsylvania County Environmental Codes will present an overview of the County’s Stormwater, Erosion, and Chesapeake Bay programs, including challenges, opportunities, and upcoming changes. Review the Presentation.
  • Approval to Support a GWRC Community Economic Development Strategic Plan Application: This is a request to participate in a regional application to support development of a Community Economic Development Strategic Plan. The Letter of Support requires a $10,000 commitment from the County to be paid to GWRC should GWRC’s application be approved. The Letter of Support needs to be submitted now, and the application approval will not be determined until late August or September. Mr. Ian Ginger of the George Washington Regional Commission will be present to further explain the application process and the advantages to the County and region. Learn more.

  • Public Hearing Regarding the Condemnation of a Portion of the Tax Parcel Identified as 21-A-145 (Chancellor District), which is located on the north side of Old Plank Road near its intersection with Chancellor Road. Learn more.
