OUT AND ABOUT: Picnic in the Park, Comfortable Weather

- June 10, 2024

Looking for something the whole fam can do? Try Picnic in the Park tomorrow from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

We don’t say much about the weather here at the Advance. We’re more the we’ll-find-out-what-it’s-doing-when-we-step-outside-because-weather-doesn’t-stop-us kind of people. (Want to know before you go? The latest weather is always in the upper right corner of our website.)

Tomorrow looks like a swell day, however, to take the family — young and old — out to Picnic in the Park.

One of the sponsors is our very own sister publication, Fredericksburg Parent & Family magazine. And the Advance will be there, too, to sign folks up for our newsletter, offer some tips to the kiddos about how to be a reporter, and talk to their guardians about all the exciting goings-on with the newspaper.

Oh, and come hungry. Slated food trucks are R U Freakn Hungry, Frozen Cotton Candy, and the Dog House.

The Dog House was all smiles last week at Picnic in the Park.

In addition, there are performers and displays aplenty for everyone.

Enjoy the break in the heat, and some time with the family.

Location: Memorial Park, 1401 Kenmore Avenue

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
