Election Update

And the winners are …

The prelims are over, and the main events are set for November 5.

On the Democratic side of the ledger, Eugene Vindman won the party’s nod to represent them in the party’s effort to hold on to the 7th Congressional District seat for a fourth consecutive term. Vindman won with 49% of the vote in a crowded field that included six other candidates. Elizabeth Guzman finished second with 15% of the vote.

Derrick Anderson is the Republican nominee, winning 45% of the vote in a field of six candidates. Cameron Hamilton finished second with 37%. The Republicans are looking to take back the 7th District seat which Abigail Spanberger (D) has held for three terms.
