Has the Postal Service Reform Act of 2022 improved the USPS? New survey may shed some light on that question. Also in this issue: Small Business Saturday.

U.S. Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va) has relaunched her U.S. Postal Service Survey to Collect Experiences of Virginians Facing Delays. (Find the survey here.) First issued in 2020, the survey has collected more than 8,100 responses.
“Across Virginia, USPS serves as a vital lifeline,” Spanberger said.
Virginians rely on a strong USPS to deliver not just seasonal cards and heartfelt gifts, but also lifesaving medications and important customer orders…. Ensuring efficient and reliable postal services is crucial, especially at this time when USPS is experiencing a significant surge in packages and mail due to the holiday season. I encourage the many Virginians impacted by unreliable mail service to take a moment and voice their thoughts and concerns.
In February 2022, Spanberger voted with a bipartisan majority of the U.S. House to pass the Postal Service Reform Act, which requires among other things a 6-days-a-week delivery schedule and creates transparency standards.
Spanberger’s survey asks two questions that allow respondents to select from one of three options. There’s also a space for respondents to offer personal stories and experiences with the Post Office.
