On Monday, our friends from Frejus enjoyed some time on the river, and some time on the trolley.
Today we went on a trolley tour of Fredericksburg. We saw the city and local monuments like Mary Washington’s house and the statue of Hugh Mercer. We learned about the history behind Fredericksburg. Then we drove to the Outdoor Center and ate lunch by the river. Next, they explained rules for tubing on the river. We all got a tube and life jacket and went in the river. We drifted in our tubes and it was very fun. After a while in the sun we got out and left to go home. We ate dinner and went to a local ice cream shop called Carl’s. Then we went to a big store and bought candles. Finally we got home and rested for our big day in D.C. for the next day.
