Fredericksburg singer takes the big stage at NBC and takes home the trophy.

Fredericksburg local Michael Huntley didn’t need to go “knockin’ on heaven’s door” last night; the gods had already graced him with a voice that’s seraphic.
That gift – combined with a lot of practice, perseverance, and work – brought him international acclaim Tuesday night when he was announced the winner of this year’s “The Voice.”
Prior to the finale, Huntley posted on his Instagram account:
“This is insane. So blessed and so grateful for everybody that has believed in me on this journey. Even though someone will be crowned a winner, we’ve all just been trying to create moments of genuine artistry and the amount of support from all over has meant so much to all of us.”
For his efforts, Huntley wins $100,000 and a recording contract.
